The township of Nutley has had a long history, dating back to the 1660's.  Originally,  it was part of Franklin Township; it was renamed Nutley in 1902.  Now home to almost 30,000 residents, Nutley remains a thriving civic-minded community.  With its lovely tree-lined streets and over 100 acres of recreational space, which includes a border to border park with waterfall.  There are 8 other parks where Nutley residents can enjoy the outdoors, and at the same time be close to restaurants, shopping & entertainment.

Nutley is dedicated to its school system and has a very fine educational system. (add school information) Nutley High School  offers a plethora of advanced placement courses as well as many extracurricular programs to continue to keep students engaged when the school day is over.

Located approximately 12 miles from New York City, Nutley is a convenient location for NYC commuters and it is close to major highways - Garden State Parkway, Route 3, Routes 17, 21, 1 & 9.
